“Client is king” ! Yes. Today I have new clients and we have a 4 hour drive from Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou, Hollywood’s preferred filming location in Morocco. Along the way we stopped for a pause in Tizi n’Tichka to take photos and admire the extreme beauty of the Atlas Mountains. As I previously wrote in a Trip from Marrakech to the Sahara desert, it is not required to bring your own lunch because there are local restaurants on the left side of the road where you can enjoy delicious meals. After lunch we drove towards Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate, we turned left to visit Ait Ben Haddou and the Atlas cinema Studios. The customers had enough time to explore this city, such as shopping in the Souk and visit the Taourirt Kasbah on the road to the Dades Valley.
Tomorrow we will drive further to Tamsahelte along the valley of the Draa where we will have the opportunity to enjoy different views across the valley full of palmtrees and Kasbhas. Beyond the village Agdz we will visit the kasbah Tamnougalt and we will make a short walk in the palmgardens. After this walk we will continue our journey to Nkob, the capital of Ait Atta and its 45 Kasbah. Just after the village there is a beautiful view over the village. Along N12 turn right at the Berber village Tamsahelte where we aim to spend the night in a charming riad.
The next day we will drive to Boumalne Dades through the mountains of Saghro, a very interesting road which you can only do with a 4×4. We will also visit two valleys : Todra and Dades. We will spend the night in maison d’hôte run by a Berber family. The next day we will wake up early to take pictures of the colorfull rocks and after breakfast, we will drive back to Ouarzazate along the valley of 1000 Kasbhas. Here, moreover, are cultivated roses and each year there is a festival. In skoura we will again have plenty of time to visit to Kasbah Ben Moro and we will have a hike in the valley. Late in the afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech where this adventurous trip ends.
