Bruges, a classic spectacle is a wonderful city full of old flavor. Its architectural treasures lure the eye, exposing a town of rich heritage. Small cobbled streets and peaceful canals get your imagination,  engaging one to discover more and more.

1. Markt Square
View the world pass in one of the Markt Square’s multitude of restaurants and cafes. While the rat race scuttles around you a vivid open area, relax with a beer.

2. Basilica of the Holy Blood
Using what was thought to be the body of Christ upon homecoming from the Crusades, the count of Flanders delivered. Unopened to this day, the relic remains within this century cathedral.

3. Groeningen Museum
Bruges is blessed with many fine-art galleries, in particular the Groeningen, with Belgian and Dutch pictures such as the works of Jan Van Eyck and Hieronymous Bosch.

4. Church of Our Lady
Believed to be the only sculpture Michelangelo’s Madonna can be a stunning marble figure located from the time in Our Lady’s Cathedral and delivered to Bruges in 1506.

5. Memling Museum
Originally built as a medieval hospital, the Memling Museum provides a fascinating insight into Bruges historical history. The museum is the main St John’s Hospital complex today.

6. Zand Feasts
August September and June June are number to these ever popular flea markets. Crowds flock to examine the arts, projects and gifts being offered at the lively bazaars.

7. The Belfry
The principle city block is dominated by one of many wonderful attractions of town, the 83 meter high Belfry tower. Dating back to to 1240, the initial system was ruined by fire and subsequently rebuilt. Rise the 366 methods for a spectacular view of the town.

8. The Canals
Initially a vital trade course, today the canals are utilized exclusively for tourism and therefore are an effective way of observing the town from the different perspective.

9. The Minnewater
Known as ‘The Lake of Love’, this marvelous lake stands to the area at the entrance. Sophisticated swans decorate the lake which provides commanding spectacular views throughout the area. During the summer, pop concerts perform in the nearby park, appealing the crowds from near and afar.

10. The Beguinage
When the overcrowded and active city centre streets become a lot of, tranquillity may be yours in the backyard of the Beguinage, a monastery for the Benedictine sisters who still live there today.
