Hi, Does the Carrefour Market in Marrakech offer alcoholic beverages? I've heard rumors that Asima has discontinued sales. Having been away from Marrakech for nearly two decades, I'm eager to know. Thanks!

Does Marrakech Carrefour Market sell Alcohol?

Generally, you can find alcoholic beverages in all Carrefour stores. As for Asima, it's true that they don't have an alcoholic beverages section.

In Morocco, during Ramadan, Moroccans (even those with multiple nationalities) are not allowed to buy alcohol, but for tourists, it's usually smooth sailing. You see, during this time, shop owners often focus more on serving tourists, all because of cultural norms.
